Our Mission
At Sheltering Strays, our mission is simple:
To provide safe, warm shelters for stray cats in need. Across the United States, over 70 million stray and feral cats struggle to find protection from the elements. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are able to build and ship high-quality shelters to communities that need them most.
How It Works
Each shelter costs approximately $45 to build and ship. Every dollar donated goes directly toward materials and shipping costs, ensuring that no stray cat is left without a safe place to rest. So far, we’ve built and shipped over 400 shelters, but with over 1,800 requests currently pending, we need as much support as possible to continue our work and to have a fighting chance at catching up.
Supporting Our Cause
To show appreciation for our incredible supporters, we offer exclusive rewards:
• Weekly Top Donator – Each week, the person who donates the most receives an exclusive Sheltering Strays T-shirt, proudly displaying our message: “Your Donation, Their Safe Haven!”
• Daily Top Donator – Each day, the highest donor will receive a Sheltering Strays bumper sticker to show their support for stray cat shelters.
